My Aunt Fran is my mother's sister-still alive. Recently I dreamt of
Uncle Jim and Cousin Joe (both deceased).

The setting was a business enterprise- possibly commercial- we were all
engaged in. Sorry, but I did not know the details.
As usual my uncle and cousin were well dressed, youthful looking.
We had a conversation dealing with minor issues of the business.

Can anyone tell me why Chuck's response to my post does NOT show up on
Google Groups? I only saw it quoted when clicking on Silk's post.
Google Groups is really beginning to annoy me. And I had high hopes
for a free, fast, news server.

Stacey:

I did a little research on your behalf, and found a free newsgroup server:
news.readfreenews.net

I'm reading your post on this server now, using Outlook Express (OE) (under
Windows XP, but 98SE and 2K and ME all have the same abilities)

Hopefully, I'll be able to send a reply as well as read.

Here's how to do this:

1) open up OE and click on Tools, Accounts, Add, Mail, then:
2) make the NEXT TWO WINDOWS of input say *whatever you want* them to say.
If you expect replies via e-mail, then use your true e-mail address. If you
wish to maintain some level of anonymity (which is advisable in order to
reduce unwanted spam in your inbox) then fake your reply address, and
provide people with an *indirect* method to obtain your true e-mail.

Most people do things like:
d1ck_s12k@h0tma12.com 2>

(You can be creative. NO SPAM interruptions are usually ferreted out by
address-harvesters)

3) in the third window, copy / paste
news.readfreenews.net
into the box, and click NEXT (or FINISH), then click CLOSE.

4) a question will pop up: do you wish to download a list of newsgroups?
(or something similar to that) to which you reply "YES".

5) a *very long* list of newsgroups will then be downloaded to your computer
/ OE program. In this particular case, over 31,000 groups will be
downloaded. On high-speed, it takes only about a minute.

6) from this point, you can type in word fragments or actual alt. etc
addresses in the search box, and narrow down the list of groups you wish to
"subscribe" to.

7) Post away! :-)

You will get plain text defaults, but html posting *is possible* as well as
sending file attachments (like small pictures) to certain groups.

NOTE: I had to use my traditional news server to send this message.
Apparently readfree means just what it says, but if you visit their
homesite, you may be able to register in order to be able to send. You may
use Google to find free newsgroup servers -- there are
many. Some in the lists are valid, others aren't, and some allow free
posting, others don't, and some allow attachments, while again, others do
not.

Mix and match, and post freely! :-)

Yours always,

Silk.

the best one is www.individual.net. it might take a day or so to register
as they reply to every application in person, but they're by far the best
free news server around.

Thanks, Mike! see Stacy, this is what I was talking about: people will
tell you the best one to use, and all you have to do is configure OE to
download it, and *presto!* You have instant newsgroup access, in nearly the
same quality format as e-mail.

I have dreamed of deceased relatives and people I have worked with for
near 20 years. It was so bad that once in a while I would dream of
someone that's living. It made me want to call and see if they were
ok.

To me I think lots of these deceased type dreams are visitations,
meant for us to enjoy. They deceased sure look nice and young again,
usually about 30. That includes both my parents that died about ten
years ago. I hope it works that way with my time is up.

thanks... note to Stacey: finding a free newsgroup server is sometimes
difficult. Best to ask the group who's using one, so you can use their same
free service.

Stacey,

Yes, I think it was prophetic and how about something else very odd.

The very first car I owned was a 1951 Chevvy. I bought it around 1956
while I was living with my mother and stepdad. Later I sold it to an
Indonesian exchange student who took it home with him after one term at
the university and yet a few years ago I dreamt of the car AND my
stepdad. It had been tucked away unbeknownst to me in a garage near
where they used to live and my stepdad showed me where it was.
Isn't that weird?

If you still have any document with the VIN # upon it, you can trace the car
to its present owner, if it's still on the road.

Sounds like you're about to have a conversation with some morticians,
probably concerning the imminent death of a loved one.

A big DUHH for me. I dreamt of my aunt on Monday the 17th and as far as
I knew, she was still alive, having suffered a stroke recently, but in
a nursing home. This morning, Friday the 21st I read her obituary that
she died on the 18th and I made a previous post without all the
details.
In my recollection I have only had one other prophetic dream!

Hi Chuck,

This case does seem to make the chills rise up on my flesh.

You dream of your deceased uncle and cousin, who are finely dressed in
the dream. You are partaking in and discussing business matters with
them.

Now that we know your aunt just died (after the dream) it would seem as
though the dream were telling you that your aunt was about to die and
that perhaps funeral (business) arrangements would have to be made.

Very interesting. But you do seem to dream of dead people often so are
we lead to wonder whether or not this dream was coincidence or
prophetic? What do you think?

I've found from experience that, in a dream, if you encounter a number of
deceased relatives in the same dream, carrying on as if everything is
perfectly normal, that means someone (a relative or extremely close family
friend) is about to cross over.
