Work has gotten a new falcon ute (2004 xl)
and all the alarms are starting to annoy me, mainly the seatbelt
warning alarm, and the speed alert.
Is there any way to turn this alarms off? i have tried every button i
cant find, and the boss (i guess?) has taken the owners manual out of
the glove box.

Seatbelt warning , nothing you can do. Put the radio up louder!

Speed alert.... the seek button on the LH side of steering wheel should have
an S on similar on it (small). Hold it down, the LCD odo should show the set
value, then just adjust, or turn off.

go to a car wreaker and get a seat belt cut the attachement part and put it
in your car so no need to put the belt.

But really you should wear the belt private or not private property it is
for your own good....how long does it take you to put it on? 1-2 sec....is
it worse getting injured???

With the seatbelt, you can turn it off in my fairmont (I think, cos its
disengaged) I will check the manual later. Failing that, I disconnected
the lead from my gf's ex 323 which was under the seat.

Don't know about the seat belt one, but for the speed alert, just set it to
140kph and you won't hear it again! (until you go over 140kph!)

Set your speed alert higher than you plan to travel, and put your seatbelt
on .. easy!

I can't see anyway to set the speed alert, and i spend a lot of time on
private properties getting in and out of the car a lot. I don't see why
i should have to put my seatbelt on just to shut the alarm off, when i
only need to drive 2 feet.
