Whats the difference from HDMI_DVI and COmponate DVD connections ?
Iam looking for a NEW Tv and want to make sure the Tv will last a LONG time.
But i just want to understand :)
Thanks for any Info.
/ps is HDMI or DVI backwards compatible with Componate ?, if i get a HD DVD player would i still be able to connect it and still get a decent picture even if i have to use an Adaptor /?
Thanks.

 | Component is an analogue format. Consists of three signals luminence+sync and two colour difference signal B-Y and R-Y or something similar. DVI, HDMI are digital formats. These are suited to fixed pixel displays like LCD as each pixel can be precisely mapped on the display. HDMI is a later version of DVI I think but with smaller connector and no wires for analogue unlike DVI connector.
