To those interested,

I bought a Zensonic 330 a few months ago from I-tech in Sydney and the
mechanical drive just failed recently - this is after very little
usage.

When I rang the support guy at zensonic he did not sound at all
suprised - and guessed what was wrong with it very quickly.

All in all, though it does do what it advertises itself to do I found:

1. The build quality very poor.
2. Its error handling exceptionally poor. If your dvd has the
slightest scratch is will freeze.

I am not going to return it to get fixed as it is a pain in the ass
and I will just end up with a repaired though still dodgy dvd player.

In short, don't be fooled by the fancy functionality - its a dog. Go
with a brand name.

That should read 'don't be fooled by the cheap price'. You always get what
you pay for in life and in Hi-Fi and electronics it's even more so.

Your claim about slight scratches is equally bullshit.

Yes arsehole *30* people. I'm sorry if that number exeeds everyone
you've ever talked to, but being retarded as you appear to be, isn't my
fault.

Go cry about your inability to use a fucking DVD player somewhere else.

Gees, wouldn't it be a pain for this poor smuck if he really does know
thirty people with zensonic 330's.
His post makes him look like some pimply faced kid who'd get his computer
confiscated if he was caught swearing like that in real life, and his 30
people claim makes him look like a liar as well.
Then again, maybe he's the snotty nosed brat of a retailer who sells them
and really does know 30 people with them (customers are people right? so
technically this nobhead may really be telling the truth) but then again,
its if the reatiler is smart enough to be a retailer, then its hardly likely
that he would produce a moron like this wanker, so who knows.
imho

I've had mine for ages and it's fine, it gets near constant use and plays
all my discs with no problems. I have heard of the problems with the drive
as you say. Apparently people are fixing them by butchering old CD-ROM
drives for parts :)

My sister had a problem with hers in adelaide. Solution given by the Tech
guys at the distribution centre . Pick the unit up 3 inches and slam it down
hard on a flat surface. Worked apparently.

Reminds me of my Atari ST computer when they had the problem with memory
chip location into their sockets.Exactly the same solution. :-)

Yup, it is called the 3 inch drop fix. Commodore used it as well.
