Popped into my local JB this evening to see if I could pick up a DVD or two (they only had one of the discs I'm after ... damnit). Whilst I was there, I asked to speak with somebody about the mastering problems on the fifth disc of B5 season 5[1].
After a bit of chatting, they offered to exchange my copy. I patiently explained that it was a mastering error, not a problem with my discs per se; they then put me on to somebody else. I explained the problem to him; he indicated that (a) it was the first time he'd heard of it, and (b) the appropriate rep would be in store tomorrow (Tues 25th Jan), and he'd raise it with the rep then.
Phone calls to WB are good (02 9552 8700). Letters are better (235 Pyrmont St, Pyrmont, NSW, 2009). Informing retailers of the problem and asking them to raise it with WB is also good.
Please, people, raise this with the stores, so that we stand a good chance of WB fixing the problem and issuing replacement discs. The more noise we make, the better the chance is.
Spoiler space for those who haven't seen Babylon 5 season 5 through to the end.
[1] For those who came in late: "The Fall of Centauri Prime" is missing the teaser. This leads to a jump in continuity: the previous episode sees Londo Mollari running to try to stop an attack on the planet (unsuccessfully), and you then commence the next episode with Mollari in the room with the Regent and a Drakh, with no explanation of where the Drakh comes from. This explanation is present in the teaser.
Naturally, the US release doesn't have this problem. *sighs*
