Try Raymond Terrace cinema, cheaper than Greater Union anyway.

 | Dear Sir
Firstly we would like to express our thanks to you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding our external food policy.
As you have identified, our Conditions of Entry restrict all external food purchases, with the exception of items required for medical reasons, religious beliefs or small infants e.g. bottles being taken into the cinemas. This condition is in line with many other companies in the entertainment and food and beverage industry.
With regard to your comment about *water*, we would never search customer belongings, but we do respectfully request that our patrons abide by our Conditions of Entry when they visit our cinemas.
Thanks again for taking the time to write to us, we are constantly reviewing our policies in line with customer feedback.
We appreciate your time and comments.
Kind regards,
John Poole On behalf of The Greater Union Organisation Pty Limited

 | The slight difference is I raised the question of water in a bottle brought from home.
And oh I also raised the issue that pubs must give you free water an issue he did not care to comment upon. Strange given that AHL (greater union) own Thredbo and thus are very aware of liscensing provisions.

Not all pubs/clubs give free water. Some won't give tap water, and charge $3 for a bottle.

That has been made illegal in NSW, and a bloody good thing, too.

Btw I work at a KFC near a nightclub and get great pleasure in telling drunks that it was the responsibility of the place that got them drunk to rehydrate them not the KFC where they go to satisfy the fat/salt craving!

Probably but we would rather do without the drunk customers anyway!

"No food", but allowing theirs in would be a breach of the TPA I suspect.
