Anyone seen the trailer for the new FF film? What are the thoughts on
the casting(Julian McMahon from Nip/Tuck as DD etc).

That his best acting is done behind a steel mask, christ what a loser.

a trailer for the never-released(?) 1970s/80s version is floating around the
net - I got to it from a Dr.Strange site (DS being the only Marvel character
that I would really wantto see onscreen now).

The whole film can be found on p2p networks. It was made in the 90s and not
only never released but never intended to be - something the cast and crew
were unaware of.

The big question is who would spend that much cash to make a flim with the
clear intention of not releasing it?

A film company with deep pockets. The full story is that the rights
were about to run out but there was a clause in the contract that
stated that if a film was made the rights would automatically be
extended. They didn't want to let the rights go at that stage so they
made a film on the cheap with no intention of releasing it.

McMahon should be good but Alba is one of the worst casting decisions
imaginable, even with her hair blond.

He's playing the villain who'll spend most of the film encased in
armour, have you seen Nip/Tuck? He should be good in the part.

Trailer looks impressive. (

Though I am sick of comic book movies. I think the genre has been done to
death. Catwomen was the last straw in a very big pile of straws.

When I saw title, I actually thought of the Enid Blyton books - but I think
that's The Fabulous Four. That would make a better movie.

I think I meant to say the Adventurous Four. I'm sure they existed =)
