I'll try and get there. I'll be in Beechworth later that day.

Actually, the bike does need to get out for a run, and there are far worse
places to ride, so I might have a think about going. Anyone else interested
in going from Melbourne ?

Just happens that the BMWMCCVic are riding to Jingellic, leaving there bikes
there on Saturday and canoeing to Tintaldra for the night. Spare parts
anyone?

That's odd. I've done that canoe trip myself, but I always prefer to
start upstream and paddle down, so we started at the next bridge up from
Tintaldra ans paddled down to Jingellic.
Nice stretch of river. Can get nasty.

It's a nice run. When we did it a few years back we took two days,
camped by the river. If the river is up, it can be a hair-raising run
in parts. Some of the long sweeping bends look fine, until you realise
that most of the water is going under low trees. =8-O

I assume they are doing it with an adventure tours company. I can't
imagine getting all the gear[1] I'd need for that trip onto a bike.

If we'd been "Deliveranced",at least we'd have been warm and
dry...(instead've spending half the trip *beneath* the icy waters of the
Upper Murray, and the rest in a cold wet sleeping bag in a torrential
storm--not that I'm bitter or anything...)
