The type of incident that ocurred at SCCC is not new. Attempts to block on-campus military (and other government agencies such as the CIA) recuitement by anti-war students goes back to at least the Vietnam years. However, as was the case at Oberlin in May 1967, protest groups often agreed to refrain from physically blocking access by military recruiters, but instead chose to use sit-ins, signing up for military interviews to limit the number of appointments, and setting up strike style picket lines to intimidate potential recruits. There also was pro-war support groups counter-protesting against the anti-war groups.
I firmly believe in the right of peaceable assembly to protest against the President's policies, and by extension the military recruitment of college students, as I support that same right for those that support it. However, physically blocking access to military recruiters on a campus is no different to me than physically blocking access to abortion clinics. There are more constructive and effective ways to voice your opinion, remembering that you can't have it both ways.

You mean like voting and quietly going with the majority, no matter what.
Son, you don't know your American heritage.
