Hello Robert,

I think that the scanner is not sending a "Od0a" (crlf). There is
away to change it to just LF> I think it is SITE RECLF ON as off the
default. TCP/IP with off is looking to the
CRLF (0d0a)

Subject: FTP929E

Hello Friday VSE workers

Last weekend I put VSE 2.7.1 with TCP/IP 1.5.D into production. Then the
problems started.

We have a OMR scanner package running on a WIN/TEL box. The data from the
scanning process is FTP'd to VSE and then processed by batch jobs.
When we FTP from the scanner to VSE we get "T1 0140 00D5: FTP929E Record 0
too big for NSCNS01.DAT (Code=LOAA)" and a truncated file created in VSE.
I have checked the definitions in the IPINIT and they are correct. The file
should be LRECL=79,RECFM=FB,BLKSIZE=18415. What I get is records of
253 bytes each.

If I FTP the file to a VM machine it comes across fine. I can then FTP the
file from VM to VSE and the data comes across fine.

If I go from the scanner PC directly to VSE it fails.

Suggestions?
