Bluenose: Trust or mistrust?

Bluenose: Trust or mistrust?

The Bluenose II Preservation Trust and the Province of Nova Scotia
have been meeting behind closed doors. Premier Hamm has said the boat
will sail in the spring, with or without the Trust. No one really
knows what's going on. There seems to be much below the water line.

One wonders:

Why would Chretien-appointed Senator Wilfred Moore, chairman of the
Bluenose II Preservation Trust, bully little guys on penny copyright
issues and then pussyfoot around on big-ticket Sponsorship issues
worth hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars?

How much are copyright and merchandising really worth?

What percentage of merchandising sales (if any) went into a fund to
build a new boat?

What is the cost to build a new Bluenose?

Was there a plan to raise the capital to build a new boat?

How much in total (if any) was put aside for the Bluenose III?

Why did it take eight years to call in an external auditor?

Will there ever be an audit of the early years?

When (and if) the Trust ceases to exist, what will happen to all the
assets, i.e. boat, copyright, generator, T-shirts/jackets etc.?

Where are the Bluenose trailer and generator now, the ones used on the
infamous 2.3 million dollar tour? Does the Trust or Province own them?

Why, at the Public Accounts Committee, did Wilfred Moore inelegantly
brag about generator generosity during the Quebec ice storm, spinning
it as Bluenose legacy, when, in fact, an ad agency (the third or
fourth Liberal-friendly ad agency to get Bluenose money)was paid a
commission on the transaction?

Where are the Forestall prints?

Why won't Senator Moore leave?

Isn't ten years long enough?

Are criminal charges pending?
