 | God gave his only Son
that the world be saved through him.
Jesus Christ the Son of God
took our place on the cross,
paid for our sins,
and became our righteousness.
Because we trust Christ to save us,
Christ is righteousness for us.
Much of the world
believes that Christ is the Savior
but has its trust
in churches, rituals, and efforts
rather than in Christ.
It seeks to establish
its own righteousness.
What difference does it make
that Christ is righteousness for us?
Eternal life.
