Do we need herbs for healing and recovering?

JEsus said Mk16,18 ... lay hands on the sick (no herbs);
Jacobus said 5,14 ... let them pray over him (no herbs).

(Dont be silly using Rom 14,2 Luke 11,42 Hebr 6,7.)

Where did JEsus say: Use herbs? Nowhere!

Therefore:
Q: Who needs herbs for healing?

A: No CHRISTIAN !!!!

And HOW CAN WE heal? Look above. We and the elders can.

My wife wants me to lay hands on any part which hurts and JEsus heals. Been
an elder we laid hands on the sick person and prayed over him and anointed
him. And JEsus healed him.

There are two Greek words in the Bible that are translated as
"heal"--"iaomai" and "therapeuo". Iaomai indicates
instantaneous healing. Therapeuo (from which our word "therapy"
comes) indicates that healing takes place over time and with knowledge
of how the body works. Half the time we read about healing in the Bible
(New Testament included), we are reading about therapy.

You are focusing on the wrong word... "Herb" is what our
English-oriented minds think of when we think of plants with
therapeutic properties. At the time of Jesus, medicine and plants where
synonymous. Drugs didn't exist (at least in the modern patented
form). More specifically, one of the tools Jesus used in his ministry
was essential oils...as in frankincense and myrrh. Essential oils are
mentioned in the Bible directly 188 times. Include all the times they
were referenced and the total is over 500.

Concerning Jesus' ministry, here's an interesting verse:
"He called the twelve disciples...sent them out... gave them power to
drive bad spirits out of people... They also put oil on many sick
people and healed them." Mark 6:7-13 Worldwide English

In other words, besides the prayer of faith, Jesus taught his disciples
therapy with therapeutic-grade essential oils. We aren't dealing with
dabbing olive oil on people's heads. And we aren't talking about
hippie incense or feel good candles. Essential oils that are truly
therapeutic are very rare--considered as valuable as gold at the time
of Jesus' birth. Did these people just like to smell good or did they
know something we don't?

I can rant for days on this subject if anyone cares.

But herbs WERE mentioned in the Bible:
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing
seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the
which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for
meat.

Food also heals, if taken appropriately. There are numerous diseases
which can be safely controlled, even eradicated by proper diet.
Herbs are an EXCELLENT thing to incorporate into a healthy diet.

Gen 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and
every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not
caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the
ground.

The Good Lord put these herbs here for a good reason, don't you agree?
