 | If you are one of those who believes that you must suffer after this life to make things right (hundreds of millions of people do), there is good news for you! The Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, has paid on the cross for the sins of the world. If you will trust him to save you now, he will give you eternal life now. He is eternal life, and when you receive him, you receive that eternal life. How do you trust Christ to save you? You stop trusting all else to save you (church, baptism, sacrament, suffering), and you put your faith for salvation, entirely, absolutely, totally, in Christ. Please understand what I am saying. Go to church, be baptized, take the sacrament, serve, give, count it an honor to suffer for Christ, but never trust anything or anyone for your reconciliation with God except our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Does it really make any difference whether all your trust for salvation is in Christ? It makes all the difference.
