 | Entry-Level Research Assistant Position in Image Processing and Data
Management. Section on Biomedical Image Analysis, Department of Radiology,
University of Pennsylvania, 3600 Market Street, Suite 370, Philadelphia,
PA 19104.
Duties:
(75%) Learning and performing image-analytic techniques in
anatomical MRI scans, defining neuroanatomical structures on images using
image-analysis software, developing expertise in neuroanatomy.
(25%) Data management, including incorporation of data from currently
running projects into an object-relational database, creating new projects
in the database, updating fields, coordinating analysis among other
laboratory members.
Education/experience: Required: BA or BS (e.g.,
biology, neuroscience, computer science, engineering). Preferred:
Experience with image-processing software, programming, Unix, HTML,
database-management software.
Special Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills. A minimum of a
3-year commitment to the project is required, contingent upon continuous
funding.
