PVM (Parallel Virtual Machine) and MPI (Message Passing Interface) are the most frequently used tools for parallel programming according to the message-passing paradigm. The meeting is dedicated to the latest developments of PVM and MPI and their applications.
This is the 12th EuroPVM/MPI meeting of the series, previous ones being held at

The 12th European PVM/MPI Users' Group conference will be a forum for the users and developers of PVM, MPI, and other message-passing programming environments. They will have the opportunity to meet each other, share ideas and experiences, and meet members of the PVM and MPI teams. Main topics of the meeting will be
* Algorithms using the message-passing paradigm * Applications in science and engineering (based on message-passing) * Latest extensions and improvements to PVM and MPI * PVM/MPI in clusters and grid environments * Performance evaluation of PVM and MPI * Tools and environments for PVM and MPI * PVM/MPI implementation issues and extensions * Novel message-passing paradigms for grids and P2P
SUBMISSION INFORMATION
Contributors are invited to submit a full paper not exceeding 8 pages in English. The title page should contain a 100-word abstract and five specific keywords. PVMMPI 2005 accepts submissions only in electronic format sent by via a webform at the following URL:

CONFERENCE VENUE:
The conference will be held in Capri - Sorrento Penisular (exact location pending), mediterranean land that has been depicted described and immortalised in song by artists, poets and travellers from every period of history. Along the coast, rugged and inaccessible cliffs soar upwards between beautiful beaches, hidden caves, enchanting bays and sheltered coves. Charming local towns, extraordinary hospitality as well as excellent, well laid-out tourist facilities open the penisular and the island's beautiful to its many visitors from all over the world. In addiction to its historic, literary and scenic wonders, Capri and Sorrento Penisular can be boast of excellent beaches, making it one of the world's leading swimming and climatic resorts.
Capri is serviced daily from the mainland by a large number of ferries and hydrofoils. The Isle of Capri can be reached from Naples (Molo Beverello) by ferry in approx. 1 1/2 hrs. Hydrofoils make the trip in about 1/2 hr. Capri also has ship connections to Sorrento and to Positano, Amalfi and Ischia. Sorrento Penisular is connected to Naples by a frequent scheduled metropolitan train (one each 1/2 hour, 1 hour trip to Sorrento). >From Rome Intl. airport you can get to Naples by plane, or by train (about 2h30 from rome airport directly to the city centre). Direct flights exists between Naples and many European cities i.e. London, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Hanover, Barcelona, Brussels, Basle.
