The following updates are from the distributedcomputing.info website
( http://distributedcomputing.info/ ). These updates cover public distributed
computing projects (projects in which anyone can participate).

December 6, 2004

- new (to this site) active mathematics project:
( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#primesearch ) Primesearch

- new tool: ( http://distributedcomputing.info/tools.html#fadspy ) FADSpy
monitors your standalone or networked Find-a-Drug clients

- the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-internet.html#spam ) Make Love

- the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-science.html#cpdn )
climateprediction.net website and discussion forums were attacked over the

tomorrow. The project servers were not affected and are working fine.

- the latest version of the Rosetta core for the

Proteome Folding client was released on November 29. The HPF client should
download the core automatically. This version fixes a problem in which no
credit was given for certain work units.

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-science.html#lhcathome ) LHC@home has
been testing its project servers since late November and is currently out
of work

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-knowledge.html#wikinews ) Wikinews
moved to its permanent URL, and became available in German, on December 4

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-science.html#lifemapper ) Lifemapper's
project servers can't keep up with the current level of user participation.
The project owners will announce their plans to address this problem by
December 10.

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#rieselsieve ) Riesel Sieve
found prime 71009 * 2^1185112 - 1 today

- the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#multifactorial ) Search
for Multifactorial Primes found prime 94412!6 + 1 (71,453 digits) on

- version 1.6 of the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#sigps )
SIGPS genefer80 client is available for AMD64 Linux as of today. Also, the
project found prime 99003480^16384 + 1 today.
