- new (to this site) active mathematics project: ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#primesearch ) Primesearch
- new tool: ( http://distributedcomputing.info/tools.html#fadspy ) FADSpy monitors your standalone or networked Find-a-Drug clients
- the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-internet.html#spam ) Make Love Not Spam project is on hold
- the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-science.html#cpdn ) climateprediction.net website and discussion forums were attacked over the weekend, and are currently unavailable. They should be available again by tomorrow. The project servers were not affected and are working fine.
- the latest version of the Rosetta core for the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-lsciences.html#proteome ) Human Proteome Folding client was released on November 29. The HPF client should download the core automatically. This version fixes a problem in which no credit was given for certain work units.
- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-science.html#lhcathome ) LHC@home has been testing its project servers since late November and is currently out of work
- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-knowledge.html#wikinews ) Wikinews moved to its permanent URL, and became available in German, on December 4
- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-science.html#lifemapper ) Lifemapper's project servers can't keep up with the current level of user participation. The project owners will announce their plans to address this problem by December 10.
- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#rieselsieve ) Riesel Sieve found prime 71009 * 2^1185112 - 1 today
- the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#multifactorial ) Search for Multifactorial Primes found prime 94412!6 + 1 (71,453 digits) on November 23
- version 1.6 of the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#sigps ) SIGPS genefer80 client is available for AMD64 Linux as of today. Also, the project found prime 99003480^16384 + 1 today.
- version 3.3 of the llrp4 client used for the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#15k2n1 ) 15k Prime Search is available for Windows and Linux as of November 30. It is at least 10% faster than the previous version.
- added a link to the upcoming ( http://distributedcomputing.info/conferences.html#ccgrid2005 ) CCGrid 2005 conference
- new ( http://distributedcomputing.info/news.html#041205 ) news article: Wikinews goes online
- new ( http://distributedcomputing.info/news.html#041125 ) news article: a study of how much more electricity a computer uses to run a distributed computing application
