Over the past few months, you have requested pre-compiled CLISP for various Linux distributions, DOS, and, yes, Windows too.
Presumably, you are talking about an ANSI Common Lisp Implementation called "GNU CLISP" or just CLISP for short. The answer has always been, and still remains: Visit CLISP home page . There, under the column "Get CLISP", you will find a section "Sources and binaries for various platforms", the first item, "SourceForge downloads/HTTP", will take you to the download page where you will be able to choose your pre-compiled CLISP distribution: clisp-2.33.1-win32.zip
If, OTOH, you are talking about "some Common Lisp (CL) implementation (not necessarily GNU CLISP)", then you should visit .

Why would you care one way or another? If we had to agree with everyone whose free software we used, we'd be in trouble. You could take those strings out if they offend you, the source is available. It is easier than turning off _functionality_ you dislike.
(I wonder if Emre should advertise the availability of a free CL ide that resembles what folks here are used to stealing. It might generate interest sorts if that comment was advertised too. You're the publicity guru around here, what do you think we should do? Fake outrage on the GWB bit? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4187525.stm )
cheers,

You know, I had not even thought of it from that (open software) angle. As I said, this is all in the abstract because I am all set on Windows.
That said, no, I would not want to be involved with a project whose creator differed from me on the issue of (roughly speaking) genocide.

I see them correctly both with Internet explorer 6.0.2800.1106 and with mozilla firefox 1.0.
Please note : the corret url is
http://ciapek.uci.agh.edu.pl/~kwlodarc/VisualCLisp/en.htm
and not
http://ciapek.uci.agh.edu.pl/~kwlodarc/VisualCLisp/en.html
the last word is "en.htm", not "en.html" regards

I'll take a look at it when my Mozilla Firefox stops telling me "connection timed out", I simply cannot reach the site from here (Istanbul, Turkey).

I meant, neither Iraq nor W are mention in the page I see.
(incidentally, this guy appears to be taking an example from Knuth: he versions his tool using decimal approximations of pi :-).

I have version 3.1415. Then select "About.." on the Help menu and exercise some patience. Dubbya comes up last. (I was looking for the photos on the splash screen, thought they might be on the About screen.) It /is/ funny how the mildly controversial menorah has been taken to an extreme. Possibly I am missing a joke. :)
Btw, it was "Special thanks", not just "Thanks".
I only used VCLisp for about two minutes, but it at least seemed OK. So I find myself wondering if I would eschew the thing because of the Iraq comment. Probably. Hard to say since I use another tool on win32. Of course, if it is a joke... :)

The easiest option might be lisp-in-a-box http://common-lisp.net/project/lispbox/ This gives you EMACS+SLIME and CLISP and will install and run in minutes.

You'd probably want some kind of IDE as well, so Lisp in a Box might be worth a look. It gives you a precompiled version of Emacs as well :) http://common-lisp.net/project/lispbox/ Some basic info about its usage can be found in "Practical Common Lisp": http://www.gigamonkeys.com/book/lather-rinse-repeat-a-tour-of-the-repl.html There's some very nice material there, take some time to check it out!
