Also, I just learned how to set up some rules in Entourage {my email/news
reader program} to filter out most of the "trolls" or gripers that I don't
care to deal with on this newsgroup. This idea may turn this newsgroup into
an enjoyable experience for me.

If you haven't done so you may want to checkout some other news readers
such as Hogwasher, MacSoup, Unison, ..., as well.

I use Emacs GNUS. The learning curve is high, but the end results are
great.

I prefer scoring approach.
