Is it possible to configure mutt to have a split-screen in the way that
slrn does, with the index for a given mailbox in, say, the top third and
the contents of the currently selected message in the bottom two thirds?
If this isn't supported now, are there plans to add it?

If that wasn't what you were saying (I didn't get past the first line), then
too much Christmas cheer for me!

Either way, thanks :)

You're welcome. To be honest, I only found out about that feature (quite
some time ago, admittedly) when it was pointed out to me. The words `split'
and `screen' definitely wouldn't go amiss in the manual's description.

You're off to a flying start just by being a fellow OS X user, of course!
