 | I currently have a PC with a 500mhz CPU, 256 MB RAM and a 3 GB HD
which is 75% full. I would like to run a game that requires roughly
the spec I have. However, it runs a little slowly and I wonder if this
is to do with the fact that the HD is 75% full. I was wondering:
(1) would buying another 256 MB of RAM would be a good upgrade for the
machine and would this give it a little more kick and a noticeable
improvement in performance?
(2) I cannot determine what sort of RAM to get and whether to just get
1 stick of 256 (currently there are 3 bays for RAM with a full with
256 RAM and 2 free) – if so how can I determine the type of RAM as the
machine is quite old.
