Back to the office after a week off.....When I use the find command, the
find window appears but there
is no place to type a file name to search for....
I looked for a preference file but was unable to "find" one. Is there
something else I can do?
Can anybody help me with this.
TIA
James

Put those fonts back in that you took out. This is a sign that the OS is
missing critical fonts.

Lee, thanks for the response.
Using Suitcase 11.0.2, activated all managed system fonts and still no
change.
Is there a preference file for this?
TIA
James

Doing a quick web search I find this:

You might read up on this.
http://maczealots.com/tutorials/fonts/

This document is valuable information on os x and where fonts are and
need to be.
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106417

This document is a list of the fonts that are in os x.
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25710

Hope this helps but I can tell you that font management is a nightmare
in os x.

You're going to need font cache cleaner.
http://homepage.mac.com/mdouma46/fcache/fcache.html

or

http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22795

Do yourself a favor and lose Suitcase.
