 | Extensis technical support is abysmal to say the least. I couldn't find a solution to my problem using their online help files, so I've been left with few options. Apparently, it's impossible to export or import font sets made using Suitcase 9 into the newer 9.2.1 version (this is for Windows by the way). This is a real problem for us because it would take forever to recreate all our font sets again from scratch. Moving the individual database files from one data folder to the next doesn't work either.
First, I filled out their online tech support form to no avail. I waited three weeks and heard no response. Just in case there was some sort of problem with my previous form submission, I filled it out again using a different email address. Still...no response.
I've also tried calling their tech support number without success. The couple of times I've tried to call, I had to wait on hold for what seemed like an eternity, but still didn't get to talk to anyone (We're talking in excess of an hour here folks!). I've always had to hang up after an hour because I had a meeting or something to go to. I can't stay on the phone all day waiting for Extensis tech support to answer their phone.
To make matters worse, the call isn't free. Another problem with their phone support is that you can't hear the wait-time recordings or music very well unless you have the phone receiver held directly to your ear. This makes it hard to just put the call on speaker phone and go about your work while you wait. I had the volume on my phone turned all the way up and still couldn't hardly hear the recordings.
All this makes me very frustrated as our company has been Extensis customers for years. If anyone has a possible solution to the font set export/import problem please let me know.

Suitcase sucks and so does Extensis.
Extensis is one of the worst email spammers on the internet.
They should die.
I don't use their products anymore.

I have been trying to get my fonts folder sorted on my new G5 and now my fonts in Safari and email are screwed up and look like chinese characters.
Suitcase should be banned (after being forcibly removed from the premises and dumped far out to sea)
Robotman.

Suitcase and Suitcase Server have been functioning without problems here for a couple of years.

I use Suitcase 11.03 (X1) with 10.3 and it works fine. A little slow to display fonts in their typeface, but I'm running it on a 400mhz G4, so there you go.
