I know this isn't exactly on topic with this group, but there isn't a similar
group for press technologies, so my appologies.

We have an Indigo 3050 as well as a variety of other conventional and semi-
conventional presses. We are an inhouse shop and print our own products.
Our house stock is a custom made linen that is textured on only one side. We
have tried to run this on the Indigo and the ink pulls right off after
several days of "dry time".

Does anyone know if we can purchase the Sapphire coating and/or run this on
one of our conventional presses like a varnish, etc or possibly a roll
coater?

Thanks for any input.

You can do it yourself on a conventional press, We have a 3050 & get a
supplier to do it for us. If you have a press that you can use then do it,
but I believe it is not very pleasant to work with & you may have to have
some health/safety issues to deal with.

Who supplies the Sapphire coating? Does anyone have names of places I can
contact?

I don't know where the coating comes from, but I would get in contact with
HP-Indigo, they can probably advise you where to locate it.

It is a product & somebody somewhere will be quite glad to take money off
you for it.

I believe it can be bought, and it is applied like a varnish (AFAIK).
When I was running an Indigo years ago we thought about doing it.
