 | Lately there was a thread about what applications exists and one suggestion was to create a list. But a list has to be maintained by someone. So my suggestion is to mark the applications at freshmeat clearly as wx application. This could be done by each project separate without the need of a maintainer, still it has to be done in a way that applications can be searched.
Currently it's only possible to mark one's project by adding "wxWidgets" to ins descriptions. Currently exactly 7 projects do this. There are 31 projects which at least use the old "wxWidgets" name. I encurrage any wx project to use the name "wxWidgets" in its description, maybe as short as "(uses wxWidgets)" at the end.
Another way to mark its project, albeit currently not searchable, is to declare a dependency on wxWidgets. Currently only 27 projects do it, you get a short list when you look into the wxWidgets project. This dependency should be set anyway so a user sees what he needs and there's always the chance the it will become searchable.
The best would be if there is a trove category "Environment::wxWidgets" as there are other like "Enverionments::MaxOSX::Aqua". Someone, best one of the core developers should make an appropriate request at freshmeat.net.
