 | I am using dragon naturally speaking 8. I installed it and have been using it since it came out. Last week I was lucky enough to upgrade my computer. Could someone tell me do I need to reinstall Dragon in order for it to benefit from my computer upgrade? Or does the program automatically adjust itself? Thanks for any help, Billy.

 | I'd reinstall, saving your user files... and probably try starting a new user file as well. Any other opinions?

What was upgraded? RAM upgrades are handled by the Microsoft Operating system. Every time you startup the computer, the Windows operating system software checks for changes.
If you did not have sufficient RAM previously, you should notice a speed increase in Dragon NaturallySpeaking now.

 | Hi Martin, Nearly all of my system was upgraded. New motherboard and processor and ram. Processor Athlon xp 3200+ 2.19GHZ 1.00Gb RAM Windows XP with SP2. I have my original hard disks installed plus the original operating system and some other parts from my old system but basically it's a new computer. I just was not sure if reinstalling Dragon Naturally Speaking 8 would be of benefit. I was wondering if it would install differently on an upgraded system. Thanks for the help, Billy.
