 | Hi I am looking at building an application for the pocket pc, which has an extremely basic voice recognition capability. All it needs to be able to do is to recognise a few basic words and numbers. I am a university student, so buying a commercial product is not a solution. The issue is that, I have no idea how the technology works, so if someone could give me an overview of the steps involved it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much Stephen van Rees

Basically, you need a dialogue platform and a recognizer, which many platforms bring.
The problem is that you might not have the ressources available for most platforms (or speech servers) as they are not built for pocket pcs. The only pocket pc systems I know are properitary.
Hope this helps,
Claus
