Four-time Australian Open champion Andre Agassi saw off the challenge
of big-serving Taylor Dent on Friday night in Melbourne. Agassi's
blistering array of passing shots was on display as he advanced with a
7-5, 7-6(3), 6-1 win. He will next meet Joachim Johansson who emerged
victorious from a five-set marathon against Feliciano Lopez.
