4-6 hours seems an awefully long time to have your car running inorder to charge batteries.
I have a GP 1 hour one, authough it does take somewhat longer on 2400mAh AA cells, and cant do a mixture of AA and AAA at the same time. It has a 12v plugpack so I guess you can use it in the car, and im pretty sure the manual made mention of a car lead when I was casually glancing at it after buying the charger
Even if it halves the lifetime of the batteries, whats your time waiting for the charge worth to you? I was tempted by the varta 15 min one, but it only works with there cells, so the 1 hour seemed the best compromise.
There is a 2hr GP one as well, but I didnt even look into that as it was only $10 or $20 cheaper

Super Cheap has one, but not a well known brand from memory, plus I don't know how intelligent it is, this is the one most rave about, its rate 100min or 6-8 hours depending on were you look.

DSE sells the GP brand but not with a car adapter from what I can see.

On "fast" 100 min charge cells get quite warm so I normally stick to over night. Any faster charger would definitely cook the life out of batteries. Best idea is to rotate several sets.
