As subject says, considering GSM at the moment, but if one of the many (lol)
telecom ones has a decent camera on it I may consider swapping.

I would prefer a non-clamshell one, but thats secondary, the most important is
that it doesnt have flashing lights or stupid sounds when taking photos, as I
will be wanting to use it in librarys as an alternate to copying some things.

willing to be corrected, but Im pretty sure that there were some laws
introduced to stop "perverts" that involved making the sounds
non-disable-able.

in Korea, not NZ. And whats the point in taking your own useless photos when
there are nudie pics on the internet by the billions?

Yes right, (actually replace library with bookstore) I was asked to leave or
stop it when the panasonic GD88 I was using was too noisy and gave away what I
was doing.

Probably cause its a tad illegal. . . .

The Nokia's can have the sound turned off - and the Telecom Nokia 6225 takes
a 640x480 pxt for a decent price ($499 RRP)...

Even if you find a silent phone the sound of the plastic wrap tearing will
still give you away :o)
