The father-in-law just bought a navman pin300. It looks like a fun toy
and could be quite useful when you don't know where you're going.

From what I understand the software is on a 32MB MMC card in the slot
on the PDA. If I wanted to upgrade the memory card could I just copy
the Navman software over to a larger memory card? (will need a larger
card to play MP3's).

You can use a larger sd or mmc card, you would have got a cd with the
navman, use that to copy over to new card.
