 | Sometimes I cannot select a non-clickable line of text, even when it begins with http:// to jump to the adress using the hotclick context menu 'GotoUrl'. It is just greyed out. 8 Beta only, worked fine with 7.x
Oh, I customized this menu.ini, as I did in 7.x in order to open a new page, when selecting GotoURL.
Item, 67394= Copy & New page & Paste and go
Could it be this?

I think the reason could be an empty clipboard. Opera first checks if al= l commands can be executed. If there is no clipboard content, Opera does n= ot execute the whole command combo, becaus of the not working "Paste an go"= , although (we both know that) it would be possible. The problem is that you (and Opera) can never be sure in which order the=
commands will be executed. I have another solution for the task: Item, "Go to URL in new page" =3D Go to page, "%t" & duplicate page & Cy= cle =
to next page This only works if enable "Reuse existing page" (which you have).
If you disable "Reuse existing page" you don't need that command at all,=
because then Opera will allways open new pages for such things.

Or keep 'reuse' on, and remember to hold Shift while clicking 'Go to URL'. Or Ctrl+Shift to open in the background.

Thank you Rijk and Gunnar,
Indeed, I didn't know that 'Reuse existing page disabled' concerned the context menu too... That did the trick with the original Hotclick_Menu line.
thanks, BB
