Since Opera does not pay attantion to irc:// URLs, i can not make chat the
homepage.
But even i could, it would not be good idea.
How can i tell Opera to enter some IRC server (or perhaps network) when i
launch it ?

Couldn´t you access all theses servers, save the session and then tell
Opera to use it on startup?

Opera remembers chat rooms in the stored session, so that will work. Opera 8 also supports irc:// urls, but that will probably mean you get an empty window as well.
