Is there such a thing as a spell checker within a browser? I am
thinking of posts to forums, in particular.

Thanks!

If you're using a recent version of Opera (7.2+, iirc), right-click in the
text area and choose Check Spelling. It may prompt you to install aspell.

Yes, recent versions of Opera include an API for external spelling checker
applications to hook up to. So far, the only one that I know to have done
so is the open-source project Aspell (which has a slightly klutzy
interface).
