 | I've noticed a difference in how Opera 8Beta renders a news article at MyWay.com versus FireFox 1.0. Specifically, Opera truncates part of the first sentence, whereas FF displays it properly. Can anyone else confirm this?
Here's the article link: http://sports.myway.com/news/01142005/v3979.html
You may need a Myway.com login to see this.
Version 8.00 Build 7401 Platform Win32 System Windows 2000 Java Sun Java Runtime Environment version 1.4
Java, Plugins and Javascript all enabled. Thanks,

Please post beta specific issues to opera.beta, f-up set.

This appears to be a quirks mode quirk. As such there is no such thing as "displaying it properly", it just so happens that FF's quirk mode has different quirks, Opera 7.5 also displays the missing text.
You can try filing a bug report, but note that emulating IE's bugs is a difficult game. The non display of the text may well be a side effect of a change in quirk mode behaviour intended to address another quirk mode issue on another site.
