 | 7.54 WinXP Sp2 - all alert boxes show up nearly full screen - I can still see the windows tool bar, but no Opera menu/tool bars. This happens whether the browser is maximized or not.
Switching skins or toolbar/menus makes no difference.
Is there a config/ini/dat file to edit or some other way to fix this? Re-install doesn't fix it.
Any ideas?

 | Sounds like the window settings for modal windows got corrupted, somehow. Most likely you inadvertently performed the maximize mouse gesture on a modal window.
A reinstall won't fix it as you've found, as these settings are stored in Opera6.ini
You can try performing the maximize gesture again to restore the window, but this may not always work. A fix that always works follows: With Opera closed, open opera6.ini, and delete the entire [Window] section. This will reset all window positions and sizes to defaults. -- Jor

Thanks, that did it.
