 | When searching the eBay help system for the phrase "like new" I got this proxy error: ============ Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /kanisa/homepage.
Reason: Error reading from remote server =============
Does it mean there's a problem at eBay or on my end? What/where is "the proxy server"? Could this be referring to my Linksys BEFSR41? Thanks Tim

 | This probably comes from a reverse proxy (loadbalancer, a front-end server used to distribute requests between many servers) on the website.

Where? In a webpage, or in an error dialog from Opera?

I assume this error only pops up when you actually use a proxy server, which you can check under 'Tools > Preferences > Network > Proxy servers'. If it is an error page, something else is going on.

 | The error was displayed not in a popup window but as an error page. I do not have any proxy servers set up under 'Tools > Preferences > Network > Proxy servers'. Is the string "from an upstream server" an Opera errormessage? Regards Tim

I can't find it in the language file, so I don't think so. > > "Rijk van Geijtenbeek" wrote in message > news:opsix9ztpecvfty8@news.opera.com... >> On Mon, 13 Dec 2004 08:46:21 -0500, TimR wrote: >> >> > When searching the eBay help system for the phrase "like new" I got >> this >> >> Where?
