 | Can some one explain how to get around this problem.
When I go to do a download with Opera, Norton personal Firewall 2.0 I has to disable it first before I can download. Happens with Opera 7.xx and now 8.00 beta??
I have no problems with IE or Firefox.
Makes it a pain if you forget. Usually you get a corrupt file when you turn off the fire wall and continue the down load.
TIA.

Set Norton to allow Opera all access, and you should be fine. Well, until the next time you have to upgrade Opera anyway.

Thanx for the info
I found the problem. It was that while port 80 was open in the fire wall general settings it was not open in the Opera HTTP settings in the firewall. I opened it and it now works. Interesting that Firefix and IE are set up with port 80 not open in their app setting but they work OK.
Go figure.

Maybe you can change some settings in the Norton firewall?
