Hi... is there any way to turn off that first-opening email check? 'cau=

everytime i open Opera, im offline. then, a dialog box shows that it =

couldnt check my emails =3DP... damn you every time..hehe

You can either switch to manual checking, or you can set a delay for the
initial check. Take your pick. Manual checking can be set under Manage
accounts, setting a delay requires editing accounts.ini.

It is in your mail folder. Go to Help, About Opera and see what location
is listed for "Mail directory". Usually your mail folder is in the same
parent folder as your profile.

For each account, you'll find a line similar to the following:

Initial Poll Delay=5

The number there is given in seconds, if you wanted to wait 2 minutes then
you'd change the 5 to 120.
