Can anybody provide me any information about the Mother Goose Shoes ?
Were these very popular on the American fifties ?

I am collecting fifties Americana. In particular I am intrigued by
the shoes shown on the link below. Does anybody remember them ?

Mother Goose was a very popular line at about the same time Buster Brown
was big. As I recall, Mother Goose was after the small child market,
while Buster Brown made shoes for all ages. Don't know what became of
Mother Goose. Unlike Buster Brown, which is still alive today, Mother
Goose is long gone, along with such as the fluoroscope show fitting
device that x-ray'd feet in the store. I believe I had a pair of Buster
Brown saddle oxfords in the 50's. Buster Brown was always the more
heavily advertized, with a more appealing logo.

________

Little quiz here: What was the history of that logo, and who was the
artist?

This is one of the radio commercials.

"I'm Buster Brown, I live in a shoe. Here's my dog Tige, he lives in there too.
