 | Every place I've ever lived you just went to a gravel pit or quarry to shoot if you lived in town or your back yard if you lived in the country and had a good backstop like a steep hill. Guess I've just been lucky.

Where I live, the closest thing to a "hill" in the county, steep or otherwise, is the BFI Landfill! Anything a bullet is likely to "stop" against for 100 miles in any direction is man-made! That's why we build rifle ranges with GOOD back-srops.

 | I definitely feel lucky then. I live in a little town in central Nevada. Once you step outside of the town, there are nothing but miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles. Finding a place to shoot is not too much of a problem. Hope I can stay here for a long time.

~~~~~ Those day's are rapidly disappearing throughout this country thanks to urban sprawl.I once would road side plink where now is a Super Walmart back up by a sub development and flanked by an industrial park.Even outdoor ranges are feeling the wrath
