 | I have an old S&W Model 19 that developed a crack in the forcing cone. When I removed the barrel, I found a "flat" filed or milled across the bottom (outside) of the barrel forcing cone. This flat spot would have been unsupported by the frame, leading to the reason for crack. New barrels cost the approximate value of the gun, however Model 10 barrels are realtively inexpensive. I have researched the books I have to see if the barrels have the same size threads, without luck. Does anyone KNOW if they will interchange, OR have a barrel for a S&W Model 19 (preferably 6 inch) they are willing to part with?
