 | I have a freind who has a Remington model 1187. The stock is darker than the forearm. I told him it looks like someone swapped the forarm on his gun. He says it came like that. This is the premier grade shotgun with a real nice stock. Has anyone seen a gun come from the factory with a lighter colored forearm than tha stock?

I have seen several 1187's and many more 1100's and no. They all match well. If it was going to bother him he should made that decision at purchase.
I would guess that Remington would match them up if he shipped it to them (Just the stocks).

Yes, I've seen it both ways. I've seen the stock lighter than the forearm, as well as the way you state it. John Hart
