 | There is no doubt that WTF TKD trend to be very sporty, whereas the ITF
TKD trends rather traditional and more practically for streert
fighting. The eight WTF Pattern (below black belt) were reinvented by
South Korea and cut short, but the traditional Korea 24 patterns are
preserved in ITF. Just see the WTF eight patterns, and even the nine
patterns of black belt level, they are all impractical for street
fighting... is that simple pattern action enough for the complicated
street fighting? They are just like dancing and for showing off.
I myself have learned more than 10 years in Taekwondo, and now assist
the teaching of taekwondo (WTF), I have a strong feeling about all that.
