 | On a chance recommendation, I recently rented "The Perfect Weapon" starring Jeff Speakman. Now I've seen quite a few martial arts movies, and, frankly, many suck. This one was a pleasant surprise. Great fight scenes and a decent plot, although I would take out the cheesy car chase. The fight scenes are the kind I like - the kind that look like talented martial artists using their techniques to fight each other, without explosions, guns, and other non-martial art distractions. Speakman is just plain fun to watch, and obviously talented.
I like finding "hidden gems" like this. Has anyone else seen this, and what are your impressions?

One of my all time favs. Saw it abt...10? 12yrs? ago. Great fun. Loved the kata at the start to "You've got the power".
Plus he beats the crap out of TKD guys.
He was in amazingly good shape for that movie.
