As a past student of Aikido (4th Dan) I always found Yoshinkan Aikido as performed by it's students to be regimented and robotic, it has a lot to do with the paint by numbers way in which that sort of Aikido is taught.
The irony is that Gozo Shioda the head honcho of Yoshinkan was rather more following and naturalistic in his movement unlike his students.
