 | I told a friend I would ask what would be a very good bike for a new dirt bike rider. she is female. maybe a better question would be what to avoid. I suppose a up to a 250 class bike. thanks

If one can be found a trials bike is probably the best teacher possible. They're small, light and well-mannered. Those attributes let the rider tackle difficult problems with a kind of aplomb denied riders of bigger, clumsier machines.
Does the bike need to be street legal?
