 | Hi there!
I would like to run in my first marathon, but the problem is it's less than 2 months away and I haven't really trained for it.
I just started running 5 miles a day but my main exercise prior to this was playing 3-4 hours of basketball once a week. The farthest I've ever run was 14 miles non-stop, but I became totally exhausted by the 11th mile.
So what must I do to make sure I can finish my first marathon? Diet? I weigh 225lbs which is 50lbs overweight for me.
Could someone with marathon experience shed some light on how to train, what to eat, what to expect while running such as "the wall" runners hit during 14th mile or so???? Water vs. Gatorade??? Also, everytime I run I have urge to go to bathroom (1 & 2), are there pottys along the route?
