That was RECENT! You should have seen how clumsy and amateruish Johnny
looked in his first few dozen shows, after Jack Paar signed off.

How is the truth "nasty"? Johnny had periodically been sending in jokes to
Letterman and Letterman uses them... Nothing nasty about it... I didn't make
any sort of moral judgement on Carson or Letterman, I just stated conclusion
based upon a known fact... When I'm "nasty", it's considerably more
obvious... I'm not really known for my subtlety... Obnoxiousness, yeah, but
not subtlety...
