 | I am getting back into the sport after a four year layoff and would really like to get on an airlocked canopy this time around. At just under 500 jumps, mostly on a Sabre 120 and maybe 75 on a Jedei 136 I am wondering where I might start given that I'm going to an elliptical and have put on 25 lbs. I loved the way the Jedei handled on bumpy days and was in the process of transitioning over to that when I had to leave the sport due to job travel. Anyway, I am 175 lbs. now compared to 150 then so going up in size is a forgone conclusion until I feel really current again, but am wondering what you guys think about this canopy vs. a Jedei. I felt great on the 120 and could and did sink it into some really tight landing areas and off dz landings, but like I said the size will come later. With that said, what do you guys think about the performance of the Vengeance? I'm guessing maybe start with a 150 or maybe 135....I'm in no rush to get a small canopy, but want to get back to some higher performance fun under canopy at some point. Thanks for the input....

Demo the Vengeance and see what you think of it. My opinion is that it is not one of PD's best efforts, with some sporadic opening issues but overall is a good canopy with PD service and quality. I would also recommend a demo of the Samurai. It is a much better canopy in my opinion and Brian stands behind his products in addition to having them made by PD on a contract basis. I have jumped both canopies and I still have my old Jedei 136 and jump it every now and then, mostly for demos. I feel the Samurai is the best over all.
